When you get to a certain age and you have friends at certain stages in their life, when they call you up and leave a message with you saying that they "have news," it's kind of easy to figure it out. All of this depending on what stage of their life they're in. If they're dating and say they have news, it's probably that they're engaged. And if they're married and say they have news, that could only mean that baby is on the way.
